Author Noivedya Mark Juddery will be reading passages from some of his well-knownbooks. An author, journalist and word-smith based in Australia, and has been a studentof Sri Chinmoy for 20 years. His regular gigs include a blog for Mental Floss and a popular weekly column in The Canberra Times. He has also written plays, screenplays,and four published books (most recently for Penguin).

Feb21 (Monday) 7:30 pm- Celebration of Presidents Day- Kodanda, an accomplished musician, performs on a variety of instruments, creating a magical atmosphere with a fusion of Eastern and Western musical flavors. He will be joined by other musicans and readings of inspiring quotes of and about our founding fathers.

Feb 26 – Saturday-6:00 pm The Breath of Music –Pavaka Ritchot and his ensemble perform music from a new album dedicated to the music of Sri Chinmoy. Pavaka Ritchot and his ensemble perform music from their album “Music of Sri Chinmoy.” Pavaka has performed all manner of popular and classical music for nearly 30 years. He now works almost exclusively on arranging, performing and recording the music of spiritual Master Sri Chinmoy. Pavaka lives and works in Montreal, Canada.
Feb. 28 Monday 7:30pm- My Self-Transcending Horizon - A presentation by Ashrita Furman- Holder of the record for the most guinese records in the world – On how he uses his meditation to bring a new found energy in his life and incorporating spiritual diseplines to achieve athletic goals
March 3- Thursday 7:30pm – Edible Jam- an open mike night of music (each performer is limited to two songs) with a dessert tasting menu featuring homemade jams
March 10 Thursday 7:30pm The Honeymooners- Three episodes of this television classic
Mar 11 (Friday) Premik Russell Tubbs Ensamble- Premik, a composer, arranger, producer and an accomplished multi-instrumentalist performs on various flutes, and tenor saxophones.Premik has worked with everyone from Whitney Houston, Herbie Hancock, Ravi Shankar, Sting, Billy Joel, and James Taylor, just to name a few.
Starting March 13 at 8pm “The Jewels of Happiness” Learn to Meditate, discovering inner happiness, and using your heart’s wisdom to guide your life, a four part course on consecutive Sundays March 13th, 20th, 27th and April 3rd. This class is offered free of charge.
March 15 Tuesday 7:30pm- Film- The Running Monks of Mt Hiei- The world’s greatest athletes may well live on top of a sacred mountain in Japan. As part of their spiritual training, the monks run 84 km every day for over three months.

Come bring your instrument and voice to this open mike, or sit back, relax and enjoy the music, limit two songs a person. The café also offers a dessert tasting Menu made from different Jams.
Edible Jams are held on the first Thursday of the month at 7:30 pm.
