January Events
During the month of January, we will be hosting three exciting events at Panorama Cafe:
- Panorama’s First Event of 2013: Nicole Levy (soprano) and Gene Rohrer (pianist) will be delivering an arrangement entitled Serenades: The Songs of Francesco Paolo Tosti, 7pm.
- 1/19/2013: The Rob Crowe Situation: a jazzy and free style infusing a number of different musical backgrounds, 6pm.
- 1/27/2013: Jason Lapin and Friends: an English major at St. John’s, Jason plays guitar in the subways to make money and for open mic nights in coffee houses. Influences include John Mayer, Ray Lamontagne, and Damien Rice, 6pm.

Feb. 2 [7PM]: Singer/Songwriter Lucid Lion
Description: Often accompanied by live stage painter PolyAmorphic – Lucid Lion performances are one of a kind. Providing a captivating and soothing audio/visual atmosphere, the passion of these two artists pours off the stage and into the audience as they create a positive, mind-altering world of their own.
Feb. 7 [7PM]: Sitcoms from the Golden Age of Television
Description: Featuring Panorama’s Vegetarian Styled take on Swanson’s Classic TV Dinners and features three episodes from classic sitcoms like The Honeymooners, I Love Lucy and Car 54 Where Are You?
Feb. 9 [7PM]: Singer/Songwriter Rorie Kelly
Description: People hearing rorie kelly for the first time often comment, “I can’t believe that voice came out of that body.” The singer/songwriter’s catchy, melodic style has been compared to artists ranging from Sarah Bareilles to Janis Joplin. rorie’s recent debut release, Wish Upon a Bottlecap, has already received airplay around the country.

Feb 14 [7PM]: Sitcoms from the Golden Age of Television
Description: Featuring Panorama’s Vegetarian Styled take on Swanson’s Classic TV Dinners and features three episodes from classic sitcoms like The Honeymooners, I Love Lucy and Car 54 Where Are You?
Feb. 16 [7PM]: Quentin Angus
Description: Australian born guitarist Quentin Angus is a name to remember. He has performed in Japan, USA, Australia, Europe and New Zealand, including Jazz Hoeilaart (Belgium), and the Adelaide International Guitar Festival (Australia). Angus has recorded/ performed with John Abercrombie, Bob Minzer and Wolfgang Muthspiel, and recently released his debut album “Retrieval Structure” which has been described as; “a statement of bold beauty, artistry and ability.” – Doug Munro

Feb. 24: World Fusion Music with Premik & Friends
Description: Premik, a composer, arranger, producer and an accomplished multi-instrumentalist performs on various flutes, soprano, alto and tenor saxophone. Premik has worked with everyone from Whitney Houston, Herbie Hancock, Ravi Shankar, Sting, Billy Joel, andJames Taylor, just to name a few. He is equally adept in pop, R&B, jazz, world and experimental genres.
