Premik Russell Tubbs and Friends
- Premik, a composer, arranger, producer and an accomplished multi-instrumentalist
performs on various flutes, soprano, alto and tenor saxophones, Akai EWI and Yamaha
WX7 wind synthesizers, and lap steel guitar.
Premik has worked with artists such as Carlos Santana, Whitney Houston, Herbie
Hancock, Ravi Shankar, Narada Michael Walden, Clarence Clemons, Sting, Billy Joel,
and James Taylor, just to name a few. He is equally skilled in Pop, R&B, Jazz, World
and experimental genres.

Amiel Van Leeuwen host and preforms with other Musicians (mostly from Queens) who
take great pride in keeping this genre of music as alive and fresh as ever.

Reading by Ambassador Anwarul K. Chowdhury (former Under-Secretary-General and
High Representative of the United Nations) from author Mani Sankar Mukherjee’s latest
book “Achena Sri Chinmoy”, in Bengali with English translation. Mr. Mukherjee is one of
Bengal’s best-known and most widely-read authors and has been listed on the top ten
for both Fiction and Non-Fiction at the same time.

Documentary Film – Gas Land
The largest domestic natural gas drilling boom in history has swept across the United
States. The Halliburton-developed drilling technology of “fracking” or hydraulic fracturing
has unlocked a “Saudia Arabia of natural gas” just beneath us. But is fracking safe?
When filmmaker Josh Fox is asked to lease his land for drilling, he embarks on a cross-
country odyssey uncovering a trail of secrets, lies and contamination.
Introduction by City Councilman Jim Gennaro, who also appears in the documentary.

An evening of traditional Indian music by Malabika Chatterjee.
Malabika is a classical Indian vocalist, who started her training at the age of 6. She has
performed all across India and on Indian national radio and television many times. She
has received many awards for her musical virtuosity.

Opera Recital
Claudio Mascarenhas, bass-baritone
Claudio Mascarenhas, was born in Rio de Janeiro, where he made his operatic debut
as Masetto (Don Giovanni) with the Brazilian Conservatory of Music. He followed as
Mandarino (Turandot), where he was called “a great new voice of Brazil.”
Upon moving to Europe in 1997, Claudio was the recipient of the Danish Free
Education grant, which took him to Italy. He subsequently received a grant from the
Queen Margarethe and Prince Henry Fund and an Opera Ebony Fellowship, bringing
him to his present home of New York.
Claudio frequently performs in the USA, Europe and in his home country of Brazil.

“Creating by Decline” based on the Life of Modigliani. This Lloyd’s third play. There will
be a discussion following the reading.
